Mathematics, Modeling and Optimization

Understanding complex relationships and making better decisions

We combine mathematical expertise with modern software development. Our solutions are scientifically grounded and provide tangible real-world value. It is not only important to understand complex problems and derive suitable mathematical methods, but also to translate abstract concepts into concrete software solutions that work in practice and are easy for users to understand.

Behind many technical, economic, and data-driven problems lie fundamental mathematical relationships. Mathematical methods help better understand systems, improve decisions, and reveal potential.

Mathematical Modeling

A mathematical model describes the essential properties of a system in a structured and analyzable form. This makes relationships visible, allows scenarios to be analyzed, and supports well-founded decisions.

Modeling is about representing reality and making meaningful simplifications that enable efficient analysis. The key is identifying relevant factors and adapting the model structure to the problem at hand.

We support the derivation, development, and analysis of models for technical, economic, and data-driven applications.

Numerical Optimization

Many challenges can be formulated as optimization problems: How can a process be made more efficient? Which parameters produce the best results? Which decision leads to the optimal outcome?

The combination of such a problem with a mathematical model forms the basis of a numerical optimization problem. We are experts in developing, implementing, and also applying modern optimization methods. This helps our clients find answers to complex questions and extract the best possible results from available data under given constraints.

Simulations

Not every problem can be studied directly in reality. Simulations are a suitable tool for representing systems virtually and analyzing different scenarios safely and cost-effectively.

We have extensive experience in computer-based simulations. These range from Monte Carlo simulations for risk models in finance, to collocation-based optimal control for lap time optimization in motorsport, to finite element methods for simulating deformations in biological cell membranes.

Efficient numerical algorithms and implementations

High-performance software is created not only through correct algorithms, but above all through efficient ones. A key aspect of this is reducing time complexity, especially when dealing with large datasets, complex computations, or database-driven applications.

We develop and optimize numerical and algorithmic methods so that they remain performant under real-world load conditions. This includes both classical algorithmic optimization and efficient data access design, such as tailored data structures, reduced query complexity, or avoiding unnecessary computations in data-driven systems.

The goal is to implement methods so that they are scalable, robust, and reliably usable even as problem size increases.

Scientific methods. Practical results.

Our roots lie in both mathematics and software development. This allows us to bridge the gap between scientific research and production applications. We understand the theoretical foundations of complex methods and know how to implement them robustly, efficiently, and at scale in software.

Many mathematical methods originate in scientific contexts and are not initially designed for practical use. We further develop these approaches, adapt them to real-world requirements, and turn them into powerful software solutions that work reliably and easily in everyday use.
